I finally met Jenna & Kyle after months of them being just names next to a date on my calendar.  They are the cutest couple, constantly making each other laugh and smile... I was beyond pumped with their adorable-ness!  We cruised around Grand Rapids Ohio for their engagement photos, finding lots of oddities, and rad nooks.  So stoked for their wedding day! It will be October before you know it!

The story of how Raquel + Jason became a MWP bride + groom is pretty amusing.  First of all, I firmly believe that as a wedding photographer you need to always be smiling.  Smiling at weddings.  Smiling out in public.  You never know who you will run into, so always try to look fun and happy..... I don't have to try, it just comes naturally.

I had met with a bride at Panera when I heard a woman's voice say, 'You're a photographer right? I've seen a photo of you on the internet...' Of course, I am thinking to myself, Oh my goodness... I am getting recognized in public by strangers... How awesome!!!  I introduce myself to a lovely couple at Panera, Raquel's parents.  Raquel's mom goes on to say that she has two daughters, but neither of them are engaged nor does she exepect them to be anytime soon, but I gave her my card anyway and suggested that she and her husband do their own photo shoot!  A couple weeks later, Raquel's mom calls me with the news that Raquel (and Jason) are now engaged!

And here we are with their engagement photos! As you will see, they are gorgeous and a ton of fun.... It amazes me that this is my 'work'.  Thank you for being a rad couple!

Oh, and just for future reference... Jason is a long-jump coach... never know when that information might be useful.

Keri and Steve are my super cool, hot, stylish, New York City couple... they are totally in love, super excited about photography, and trust whatever crazy suggestion I throw out at them... Keri rocked her Christian Louboutin boots on an über filthy abandonded railcar... YES, she's that awwwesome!  I had the motto in my head, go big or go home, for their shoot... so I shot a lot, they made my job easy by just being their gorgeous selves... and here's the delightfully photo-packed blog post.  Can't wait for September 5th!!!

Yesterday (yes I'm quick about blogging) I met up with Kiersten and Adam for their engagement photos!  I could tell right away by their style that it was going to be a good shoot.  I absolutely looooove the shots we got... they've been together 8 years (I hope that's right??) so they have that perfect, chill chemistry that makes my job effortless... ha, well... almost.

Enjoy!!

I started my weekend engagement shoot marathon with Sarah + CJ.  I was pumped about working with Sarah since her initial consultation... she is a graphic designer, chose some amazing vendors, and has some amazing venues for their October wedding, which is also awesome, looove fall weddings!!  When I photograph for other artists, I always feel a wee bit of pressure to put on my thinking cap and give them something super special and artistic that they'll appreciate.  I love the photos we made!! Can't wait for October!
