As we were wrapping up Erin and John’s formal family photos (not pictured here ) I looked out the church doors and saw the sheets of snow coming down. There is this excitement even with adults for the season’s first snow. It was gorgeous. The crab trees lining the church driveway along with the red shawl Erin’s bridesmaid lent here, made me giddy. I didn’t have to convince them to do photos in the snow, they were down and excited. That moment making amazing images in the snow is why I love what I do. Magical.
Rachel + Dani had already been married for about 7 years before I first met with them to photograph their ring ceremony + reception. I was over the moon to hear they were planning a legit party at one of my favourite Toledo wedding venues, Toledo Museum of Art’s Glass Pavilion. It is a beautiful venue with unique art throughout, glassy + classy modern aesthetic and amazing food from TMA’s executive Chef Felix. The abundance of heart felt speeches and words from their closest friends and family throughout the night, made us feel quite honored to document such a special day for the couple. It was even more special that their two children were there to partake in the celebration.
Thank you and congrats to Dani + Rachel + their families for trusting us in documenting their special day. We adore you all & are so happy you’re enjoying the photos!
Happy New Year!!! Cheers to 2016!

I recently discovered that the city, Oregon, where Abbie + Nick grew up is a town where everyone knows one another. So when I mentioned to other Oregon couples that I was photographing Abbie and Nick’s wedding every single person said how fun and hilarious the two of them are! The day of the wedding was no exception. As you’ll see they had a huge bridal party that was a blast to hang out with and was up for my silly photos. Abbie + Nick were all smiles even with the gloomy weather, which thankfully didn’t turn to rainy weather until well in to the reception. We were able to visit Abbie’s grandmother’s lake front property for an exceptional backdrop!
Thank you + congrats to Abbie + Nick for allowing us to share your special day with you… I think we’ve somehow earned our Oregon honorary residents badge ;)
Aloha! The first email I received from Amy started with the Hawaiian greeting, my ears perked up & after we figured out the best time to FaceTime with the 6 hour difference between us, I crossed my fingers that they liked me + my work as much as I liked them. They have been together for over 15 years and were hesitant to tie the knot. Not because they weren’t committed but it just wasn’t something they thought they needed to do. After some hard times they decided a celebration of their love with the people closest to them was definitely in order! For me, it was a refreshing break from the norm… The dressed for their day together in a hotel room overlooking the city where they met nearly 2 decades ago. There is something poetic about a Groom zipping up his Bride’s dress. There was no First Look, no Bridal Party, no fuss, just big hearts + lots of love. Their ceremony was full of beautiful touches and perfectly executed by their officiant Leigh Ann from Roots of Change in Ann Arbor. With all of the tropical flowers they brought it, you wouldn’t know that they didn’t get married in Maui… other than the lack of palm trees & the rain that didn’t end in the rainbow. Fire dancers, teepees, sand mandala!
It was an honor documenting this love filled day for Amy & Matt. Biggest congrats to them!!!

As a Toledo wedding photographer, our season wrapped at the end of October… and winter has left me longing to photograph pretty things! Luckily I know some pretty, pretty talented people who make spaces look spectacular. I headed up to Registry Bistro to photograph details for an engagement soirée designed by Elite Events. THIS is why Registry Bistro is one of my favourite Toledo wedding venues! Lighting and lounge furniture by Magers Designs!
We started our wedding season at Toledo Country Club and ended it there with Amanda + Zach. It truly was one of those days where I was so happy to have a wedding… PERFECT fall colors and that last hint of warmer summer temps. It was a gorgeous interfaith ceremony during that ‘golden hour’ photographers crave to shoot during. Amanda + Zach were beaming and those are the good vibes I love thriving off of. Biggest congrats to them!! Mazel! :)
Katie + Jared were married overlooking Lake Erie at Port Clinton’s Catawba Island Club. Their day was full of personal touches, big laughs & a jam packed dance floor thanks to their stellar band:Skyline and the Backstreet Horns. Such a great day!!!

Kristen + JJ had a lovely intimate Toledo wedding on, what felt like, Ohio’s first fall day. Their outdoor intimate ceremony overlooking the Maumee River at Walbridge park was picture perfect with blue skies and personal details. They passed leaves and stones to their guests during the ceremony, asking them each to give them a blessing for the couple. Their reception was downtown Toledo at the Blarney… Kristen + JJ take dance classes with their closest friends so the dance floor was packed and impressive.
