The story of how Raquel + Jason became a MWP bride + groom is pretty amusing.  First of all, I firmly believe that as a wedding photographer you need to always be smiling.  Smiling at weddings.  Smiling out in public.  You never know who you will run into, so always try to look fun and happy..... I don't have to try, it just comes naturally.

I had met with a bride at Panera when I heard a woman's voice say, 'You're a photographer right? I've seen a photo of you on the internet...' Of course, I am thinking to myself, Oh my goodness... I am getting recognized in public by strangers... How awesome!!!  I introduce myself to a lovely couple at Panera, Raquel's parents.  Raquel's mom goes on to say that she has two daughters, but neither of them are engaged nor does she exepect them to be anytime soon, but I gave her my card anyway and suggested that she and her husband do their own photo shoot!  A couple weeks later, Raquel's mom calls me with the news that Raquel (and Jason) are now engaged! 

And here we are with their engagement photos! As you will see, they are gorgeous and a ton of fun.... It amazes me that this is my 'work'.  Thank you for being a rad couple!

Oh, and just for future reference... Jason is a long-jump coach... never know when that information might be useful.

On Friday, Abby & I headed on the turnpike to Berea Ohio where, yours truly grew up...It was super weird driving down roads that I haven't seen in years and to be in a city I haven't lived in for 8 years.  To anyone who moved away from the city they grew up in, you know the bizarro feeling of returning.

Val and Ben were married at the Cleveland Zoo outside the Rainforest, which was a super rad place to get married! They had an intimate, low-key wedding.  Obviously, these two are a super cute couple, if they were cartoons they would have hearts animating all around them.... it felt as though they did.  Enjoy a few favourites...

I met Kieran's mommy a couple weeks ago at a wedding, and was absolutely thrilled to do portraits of this little sweetie!  Other than her being absolutely adorable, I loved all of her little expressions and inquisitive looks.  Photographing babies is probably the most relaxing, stress-free type of session possible.... it is also amazing to think that in her life, she will have her photograph taken professionally many times, but these will have been the first.

Tis the season for engagement shoots, can you tell??? For Renee and Greg's engagement shoot we explored yet another abandoned farmhouse in the area, laughed a lot, and talked wedding.  I'm pumped for the fall wedding at some of the most gorgeous venues in the area!  Enjoy!!
