A few people have asked me, 'Who took the photos of you at the top of your website?' well I needn't look far to find someone to take photos of me... my amazing husband, Phil, can certainly hold his own with a good ole 5D Mark 2.  Now I know that I use the word amazing a lot... and I am always sincere when I do use it BUT Phil is, well, oozing amazement.  He is extremely supportive, in every sense of the word.  I am like the crazy hot sauce on a burrito that you're not too sure you can handle UNLESS you have some sour cream... and Phil is the sour cream... haha, that analogy was completely off the top of my head, could you tell?  He calms me down when I feel like I won't be able to get anything done... tells me to write all the stuff swimming in my head when I can't sleep at night and when I come home from a wedding he has a glass of my favourite wine waiting... I really couldn't be any luckier.

So Mary Wyar Photography is that unofficial husband + wife team.  Phil behind the scenes making sure my batteries are charged Saturday morning, making me a huge water jug, and making me double check that I have everything.  He looks at all of my blog posts, whether he is all that interested or not, and will tell me if a shot isn't that worthy of being on the blog.

You have met my adorable puppies, here is my hot hubby...

Jenna + Kyle are another fabulous couple who said, whatever you want to do Mary, we trust you... and like I have said numerous times before, the best images come when I am free.  That trust certainly doesn't mean that I would take them to the most unsafe, gnarliest location for photos, it really means that they trust what I will do which puts me at ease.  Their engagement shoot was the first shoot I did after my mind blowing Seattle mentoring session and it was then that I took a sharp left turn down the hilly road instead of just coasting along with what was easiest.  So needless to say, they have a special place carved out of my photo brain.... oh and it certainly doesn't hinder my abilities when Kyle makes Jenna laugh nonstop and that Jenna has the most infection smile..... this is soooo not a 'job' :)

Renee + Greg were married a few weeks ago at one of my favourite churches in the area, the uber gorgeous Saint Rose in Perrysburg.  The interior soaks up the prismatic stain glass windows and I always find myself circling my head taking in the architecture.  The dramatic church really set the stage for Renee + Greg's wedding, it was the definition of lovely.  These two are one of the sweetest couples you'll meet.

If I were to say that this was the raddest of the rad weddings I have had this year... would I sound redundant?  Kiersten said that at first she wanted a very traditional wedding, but soon all that went out the window.  Their wedding is a true reflection of their super cool, chill personalities.  Adam choose the guys suits... which are amazing.  When I first saw their gray shirts paired with the lime skinny ties, my knees buckled and I had a huge smile that stayed put the rest of the day.  Kiersten found these amazing CK dresses for her girls that were the perfect compliment.... though I'm not sure which came first.

Obviously the details were amazing.  Kiersten and Adam were an even more amazing couple.  They are super positive, passionate and chill...  we had a super time with them and their friends + family.

I love the couples that I get to photograph on their wedding day.  Makes it seem silly that this is considered my 'job'... I'll never call it that though.

and as a side note... the adorable little girl pictured below is none other than their little girl Ella.... she's pretty unpredictable :)
